Departures from Knysna/George/ Plettenberg Bay and Port Elizabeth

By Air

All flights to destinations with private airfields have the advantage of eliminating road transfers thus optimising the visitors time available. The fact that the charter company owns its own aircraft and independent charter licence allows greater flexibility in the planning of personalised itineraries to suit the needs of the client.

Flights to all major tourist destinations within South Africa as well as further afield into Southern Africa, we specialise in a “fly-in air safari” scenario, are also available. For the purpose of charter we use a twin engine Piper Aztec and pressurised Aero Commander, both of which are equipped for the longer flights and extremely comfortable. Should the need arise can charter various other aircraft types.

Flight Schedules: Departures:

Garden Route: Knysna / Plettenberg Bay /George : 380

We offer the ultimate one day “fly in” excursion to Shamwari, the Cape’s premier big game reserve, only a 50 minute flight from Plettenberg Bay combining an aerial coastal experience with an african bush safari.

We depart Plettenberg Bay airport for a scenic flight over the bay, the beauty of which is only fully appreciated from this suspended vantage point. A light breakfast is served on the flight which continues up the picturesque nature’s valley coastline, crossing the majestic Tsitsikamma mountains enroute to Shamwari’s private airfield, eliminating the need for road transfers and thus optimising the visitors time.

On arrival you will be taken on open landrovers to experience a big game adventure which will last for approximately three hours. Lunch is served at the Shamwari’s Born Free centre overlooking the Bushmans river. After lunch a visit to Kaya Lendeba, an african arts and culture village will round off a truly unique african experience. Relaxing in comfort you will arrive back in Plettenberg Bay in the late afternoon.
